Oral Piercings
To look after your oral piercing whether it be your lip or tongue webbing this are the guidelines you need to follow to allow your new piercing to heal efficiently and correctly.
A mouthwash is a must as your mouth is full of bacteria and can cause an infection extremely quickly, the mouth wash must be used after eating and drinking ANYTHING including sexual contact of any kind, no alcohol is to be consumed for two weeks and dairy based drinks are to be kept to a minimum also for a two week period.
Body/ Facial Piercings
Pre-approved Piercing spray can be purchased from us which is recommended for the first two weeks of healing after which time we recommend ¼ teaspoon of sea salt (NOT TABLE SALT) into 1 cup of warm water then use a cotton bud to go around the area of the piercing twice a day for the following 6 to 8 weeks.
NOTE:
Healing times may vary depending on the piercing and the person.
Also if scar tissue occurs or just to prevent it a camomile teabag can be placed in hot water then the teabag put onto the affected area, this is a natural anti-inflammatory and drastically reduces scar tissue which will also aid in preventing keloid scaring.
